CSC is a private, non-profit organization, incorporated under the Internal Revenue Code, section 501 (c) (3), to serve immigrants and others in need of assistance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">CSC&#8217;s three major program areas are:<br \/>\n1) Community Economic Development Department, which consists of our Small Business Program offering in-language technical assistance, counseling and training to small businesses and Asset Building &amp; Financial Literacy program targeting parents at local Los Angeles middle schools.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">2) Federally Qualified Community Health Center, with primary medical, dental, and behavioral health services. Our Community Health Center provides culturally competent health education and healthcare enrollment assistance for low-income families and individuals. CSC\u2019s Behavioral Health Program also has anger management\/domestic violence classes and advocates against child abuse and domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">3) Family and Community Department, which consists of Social Services \u2013 offering safety net services to all ages; Senior Services \u2013 providing care\/case management to seniors; and Youth services \u2013 providing academic assistance and leadership development programs to prepare middle school and high school youths for their future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The growth of staff and services at CSC since its modest beginnings in 1971 reflects an expansion of the Center&#8217;s goals and the needs of the community.
